The Eden Project is an award-winning 501(c)(3) providing centralized reintegration support to veterans and their families. Managed and operated by veterans, we are the “one-stop-shop” that provides veterans and their families with the resources they need when transitioning into post-military life. Our peer-to-peer connection with veterans ensures they receive the specific services they need, when they need them, and how they need them. Veterans and their families are empowered to thrive and encouraged to succeed because of our holistic approach.

Some organizations provide an escape from reality, The Eden Project provides the tools to deal with reality.

Phoe3nix Force® Peer Support
Out of the ashes, a road to resiliency

In this 14-week peer led model, veterans (participants) navigate the journey home through the experiences of other veterans who have, or still are, on that journey.  Participants learn fourteen wellness practices, one each week, along with an extensive list of life skills all focused on rediscovering their identities and building resiliency.

The course is divided into three phases. The first phase, engage, is the introductory phase that brings the team together and establishes the ground rules and expectations for the course. The participants take an enneagram assessment, learn the first five wellness practices, and begin to understand who they are and their true value. Phase two empowers the participants with cognitive behavior principles and additional six wellness practices. This phase deepens their understanding of their power to manage their thoughts and behaviors. The final phase continues to build the participants’ resiliency. This section is designed to strengthen their resiliency and continue developing their confidence and competence with their new practices and coping skills. The program culminates with a community service project the team chose in week three.

At the end of the 14-week 50-hour program, each participant has a better understanding of who they are, where they fit into their community, and the tools and practices to thrive in their new self.  Much of this is done by changing unhelpful thought processes, improving emotional regulation, and developing personal coping strategies.
